Please read all the fixing instructions
carefully before commencing fixing.
The tools you will need
- Mitre block/box
- Pencil
- Tape measure
- Woodworking saw
- Adhesive - suitable for fixing paper-wrapped coving.
- Clean damp cloth
Preparation
Ensure the ceiling and wall surfaces are clean,
sound, flat, dry and free from grease and loose
particles. New or bare surfaces should be primed.
Fixing
- Offer a piece of coving to the wall/ceiling
and mark a line underneath with a pencil. Mark
out the room producing along horizontal line
as a guide.
- Take a mitred length or pre-mitred corner
piece, and apply the adhesive with a serrated
spreader.
- Gently press both pieces of the first corner
set into position.
- Continue with standard lengths. When the
space left is too small, measure coving section,
mark and cut to size.
- Where two pieces meet, apply and light coat
of adhesive to both joints to secure.
- If ceiling/walls are uneven, use adhesive,
or a proprietary filler, to close the gaps.
- Leave 24 hours before decorating.
