Please read all the instructions carefully before
commencing fixing.
The tools you will need
- drill
- clean damp cloth
- screwdriver
- adhesive
- suitable for fixing polyurethane mouldings
Method 1
Fitting
ceiling centre over existing light fitting
- ENSURE THE ELECTRICITY IS TURNED OFF AT
THE MAINS WHILST PREPARING AND FITTING.
- Drill a hole in the centre of the ceiling
centre for the flex to come through and if
necessary remove screw-on cover from ceiling
rose / light fitting.
- Ensure ceiling surface is clean, firm and
even.
- Apply adhesive or similar to
rim on reverse of ceiling centre. Position
and hold temporarily until it adheres
- Remove surplus adhesive with a clean damp
cloth.
- Paint as necessary.
Method 2
Removing
ceiling rose before fitting ceiling centre
- ENSURE THE ELECTRICITY IS SWITCHED OFF AT
THE MAINS WHILST PREPARING AND FITTING.
- Remove ceiling rose. Drill a hole in the
centre of the ceiling centre for the flex
to come through.
- Ensure ceiling surface is clean, firm and
dry.
- Apply adhesive or similar to
rim on reverse of ceiling centre. Position
and hold temporarily until it adheres.
- Remove surplus adhesive with a clean damp
cloth.
- Refit ceiling rose through the ceiling centre
using appropriate screws to ensure secure
fixing to the joists.
- Paint as necessary.
