Please read all
the instructions carefully before commencing
fixing.
Preparation
Ensure the surfaces are clean, sound,
flat, dry and free from grease and loose
particles. New or bare surfaces should
be primed.
Fixing instructions
1. Mark the required position.
2. Apply adhesive to the back fixing edges.
3. Push into position and fill and wipe off any surplus adhesive with
a clean damp cloth.
4. The white finish of these products acts as an undercoat for most decorative
paints. For best results use acrylic eggshell.
Embellishments
If the embellishment is required to support ornaments, screw fixing is
recommended.
Corbels
Corbels can be secured with a standard brass plate screwed into the back
of the moulding and plugged to the wall.
Niche
1. When fixing the niche, plug and screw into the wall about 1” (2.5cm)
below the position of the top of the niche.
2. Place the niche over this and pull down firmly until the screw head “bites”.
3. Apply adhesive to the back edge, and push into position, fill and
wipe off edges.
Over-door decoration
Adjusting
the length
Measure the top of the doorframe. If the moulding is longer, adjust as
follows.
1. Note the difference between the length
of the moulding and the top of the doorframe.
2. Using a fine saw cut off the rectangular end blocks.
3. Cut off each end of the centre section a length equal to half the
difference between the total moulding length and the doorframe.
4. The centre section and the two end blocks will now fit exactly to
the doorframe.
5. Apply adhesive to the backs of the end blocks and round the back edge
of the centre section. Press firmly into position, smooth excess adhesive
round edge with finger and wipe off excess with a clean damp cloth.
